Labor Job Numbers

To open the Labor Log

You can open the Labor Log in several ways. Probably the easiest is to choose *Labor Log from the McN menu. If you want to open a specific Labor Log, choose *Open File from the FILE menu, then click on Labor Log.

NOTE-- In 2000, MacNail was replaced by Goldenseal construction accounting software. Goldenseal is an integrated program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus estimating and other features. Goldenseal includes Labor Hours records, which store information similar to that in the MacNail Labor Log.

Entering Data

The Labor Log is designed for data entry from your own time sheets, or one of the job logs that are included with MacNail.

Note that you only enter data in those cells that are boxed (bordered on all sides).

Most of the columns of the Labor Log are handled similarly to those in the Checkbook Ledger.

Job Number

Enter the code number for the job, as seen in the Master Index. Check the job name in the jobsite column to make sure you entered the proper code number.

NOTE: If you type an incorrect job number into the MacNail construction accounting software, the jobsite column will display 0, #### or #REF!.
