Deleting & Clearing Rows

Delete Rows

Keyboard shortcut: option-command-K.

Choose *Delete Rows when you wish to delete a row completely from the MacNail construction accounting software. The rows underneath move up to fill the vacated space. Always delete rows with caution!

NOTE-- Goldenseal construction accounting software replaced MacNail in 2000. It's an integrated program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus estimating and other features. You can delete records easily in Goldenseal.

If the row has already been posted to Cost Control or P&L worksheets, you will be alerted. If the item was originally in error, use *Fix Incorrect Entry, from the FORMULA menu, first before deleting the row (see page 166).

*Clear Rows

Keyboard shortcut: option-command-B.

Choose *Clear Rows when you wish to clear a row completely in the MacNail construction accounting software. All information in the row will be removed, but the row itself will remain. Always clear rows with caution!

If the row has already been posted to Cost Control or P&L worksheets, you will be alerted. If the item was originally in error, use *Fix Incorrect Entry first before clearing the row (see page 166).
