Basic Code Changes (Under Development)

As part of our long-term development work on Goldenseal accounting software, we are working on a transfer of our basic code out of PowerPlant and Carbon, and into a more modern set of libraries.

This is a multi-year project that will probably not show any tangible results for Goldenseal until 2013 or later.

We expect that the new coding libraries will allow us to add many requested features that would be difficult or impossible to write with our current code base. Some examples:

Better integration with other software
Color text and formatting within text fields
Hyperlinks within text
Macintosh interface improvements
Scroll wheel support
Support for non-Roman alphabets and text
Windows version running without QuickTime
