Job Cost Errors-- Bad Category |
Problem getting *bad cat in cc column after posting job costing in MacNail construction accounting software Diagnosis IF cat code is a letter: text in "cat" column of source log or ledger should be same as text in cat column of cost control. IF cat code is a number: MacNail Accounting 3.3a did not post these correctly. Must send latest, and charge appropriate ##. If they have latest: note that codes must be entered with two periods after # in cc sheet (check CSI for example). e.g. cat code 1 should be entered as "1..". Solution less common-- if the above is working OK, they may have deleted or moved the 'jumpspot' cell.
