The commands on the Formula menu are for formula management and building in the MacNail construction estimating software.

Labor and Materials

Choose *Labor and Materials to use time-and-materials pricing for items on the Specifications list. All labor costs will be listed in the Labor column, and materials will be listed in the Material column. The formulas for all selected rows will be changed.

To change several items at one time: drag the mouse through several rows, and all will be converted.

Use this command for items that your own crew will do.

Command key shortcut: Option-Command-L.

Sub and Materials

Choose *Sub and Materials to use subcontractor-and-materials pricing for items on the Specifications list. All labor costs will be listed in the Subcontractor column, and materials will be listed in the Material column. The formulas for all selected rows will be changed.

To change several items at one time: drag the mouse through several rows, and all will be converted.

Use this command for items that are subcontracted, when you still provide the materials for the job.
