A few hints when using lengthy macros in the MacNail construction
management software:
*
Save all worksheets before beginning the macro.
*
Close unnecessary files before starting the macro. If memory is tight, operations may slow down drastically,
or be halted completely.
*
Run lengthy macros when you don't need to use the computer for a while. We have designed MacNail so you can
enter data and look at files quickly. Only a few 'posting' processes take time.
*
Work on a copy of MacNail files when customizing, instead of using the originals. Then if you have any kind
of problem, you will still have the original version of the file to fall back on. To interrupt a macro:
1. Hold down the Command key and type a period several times.
NOTE: Sometimes the command key is labelled with an apple or a cloverleaf.
2. A warning box will appear. Choose Halt.
3. For best results, close all files and do not save changes.
