Contracts created in word processor (text) format can be formatted and editing with any word processor program.

Popular word processors on the Macintosh include:

* Word
* MacWrite
* Write Now
* WordPerfect
* Nisus
* The word processor portion of ClarisWorks or Microsoft Works.
* TeachText (a very simple word processor)

Popular word processors on Windows Include:

* Word
* WordPerfect
* Notepad (a very simple word processor)

Any of these programs can be used to change the text and appearance in a contract created from the MacNail construction managmenet software.
