Schedule Lead Times

The MacNail project management software adds five new scheduling commands to the Formula menu.

*Lead Times

Choose *Lead Times to add advance-ordering lead times to a schedule created in the MacNail construction scheduling software. If lead times were previously added to the schedule, they will be replaced by new values when this command is chosen.

MacNail looks for the first occurrence of the item in question (e.g. windows), then subtracts a pre-defined lead time from that date. A formula is used on the worksheet, so changes in the schedule will also change the lead time dates.

NOTE: To define the required lead times to use for each item, choose *Scheduling Options (see page 96).

To Add Lead Times:
1. Choose *Lead Times from the Formula menu.
2. Click OK to confirm your action.
3. The required ordering dates for permits, windows, doors, cabinets and tile will be added to the schedule, just below the final project completion date.
