Using Material Take-offs

Most of the materials in the takeoff list are already in "purchase" quantities in the MacNail project management software.

For example, 4x8 sheets for gypsum wallboard and plywood, rolls for felt paper, and 50 lb. boxes for nails.

The purchase unit size is listed at far right, for each item in the takeoff list.

NOTE: We already include a waste factor in the takeoff quantities, so don't add another one yourself! You may want to under-order slightly if your crew is careful with materials.
