Estimating Paint & Foundation Dimensions

Miscellaneous Items

These items are located at the far right portion of Dimensions, near the bottom. Use the scroll controls at the bottom of the screen to see them in the MacNail construction estimating software window.

Paint Coats

Type in the number of coats of paint to be used on each surface. Include each primer coat as one coat. If you are putting different numbers of coats on different parts of a particular surface, enter an average number.

Insulation Thickness

Type in the thickness of insulation for each part of the project. If you are using different thicknesses on different parts of a particular surface, enter the thickness that covers the largest area.

Concrete thickness

Type in the average thickness for basement or first floor slabs, and for poured concrete foundations (if used).

Footer dimensions

Type in the average depth and width of foundation footers.
