Estimating Direct Quantities

Entering a number directly

To include an item that differs in quantity from the suggested units, you will type a number into the 'units used' column (column D) of the MacNail construction estimating software.

For example, we will include 280 square feet of carpet removal in the existing living room to make way for the new carpet.
 
To do so:
1. Click on the 'units used' cell for that item.
2. Type in 280.
3. Type ENTER
