To help you with your first estimate, we have set up a
sample project for a client named Smith (see the floor plan on the next page). It is a one-story
addition (12 feet by 20 feet), containing a family room, one closet, and a bathroom. It will have a simple shed roof
with no basement.
It will also have an attached entry way (4 feet by 5 feet).
NOTE: This is the same sample project
used in the Hyper*Estimator estimating software manual. If you have the Hyper*Estimator,
it will be much easier for you to set up the project dimensions and specs there, and import them to the MacNail
construction estimating software (see page 154).
