Moving New Material prices to a Price Master
After you've
used the Update Material Prices command to calculate the latest material unit prices, you'll
want to move the new material unit prices into the MacNail Price Master (or into some other file, if you
are using estimators or another Price Master to store your 'price
book' in the MacNail construction management
software).
To update construction material prices:
1. Choose Move Prices from the Data menu.
2. In the dialog box move prices from MacNail Material Costs (the choice will be A Material Costs
file if you are using more than one set of Material price files). Under Move Items To, click on the
desired destination (see
illustration, next page). The remaining buttons in the dialog don't apply to the moving of new material prices.
3. The rest of the price-moving process is fully automatic. The time it takes depends on the number of items
moved and the speed of your computer. See pages 221-223 for more about this command.
