To delete a whole category from a MacNail construction
estimate or estimator, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Summation, Clearinghouse or Specifications
section of the estimate or estimator, and click the mouse anywhere within the category you'd like to delete.

2. Choose Delete Category from the Format menu.
3. If the active estimate or estimator does not have subcategories, you'll be asked whether to proceed with
the deletion-- click OK, and proceed to step 4. If the active estimate or estimator does include subcategories,
click 'Delete entire category' at
the first dialog, then click OK.
4. The selected category will be completely removed from the Summation, Clearinghouse and Specifications
sections of the estimate or estimator, and the category beneath it will be moved upwards to take its place.
NOTE:
The MacNail construction management
software only lets you delete one cost category at a time. If you select more than one category with the mouse,
only the top category will be deleted.
