Split Payments

If you are job costing some items from the Ledgers in the MacNail job cost accounting software, you may occasionally run into check payments that have to cover more than one project, or more than one construction category.

You can use *Ledger Item to split a payment more than one way.

1. Click anywhere in the row of the item that you want to split. If you want to split it more than two ways, select several rows, with the top row at the row you would like to split.
2. Choose *Ledger Item from the EDIT menu.
3. Click on Split Payout, then click OK.
4. Several additional rows will be added with the same check number as the original selected row.
5. Enter data in them just as you would with any check.
