Correcting Accounting Errors

If you make a typo while you are data entering in the MacNail construction accounting software, just click in the cell, hit the Backspace or Delete key, then type in the proper value.

You can do the same to an old item if it has not already been posted to the Cost Control or Profit & Loss worksheets (see page 133 and 146).

If an item has already been posted, click in the row with the error, and choose *Fix Incorrect Entry from the FORMULA menu. The original bad entry will be 'erased' with a duplicate line containing a negative number, and a new blank line will be created for you to use for the correct entry.
