Macintosh System Requirements

* RAM: the MacNail construction accounting software requires at least one megabyte of RAM memory. memory You can use a Mac Plus, a Mac SE, any Mac II, or an SE/30. You can also use any older Mac (128, 512, or 512E) that has been upgraded to a Mac Plus.
NOTE: For best results, you should have the latest version of System and Finder installed on your hard disk. You can usually get a free copy of the latest System software from your local dealer or User's Group.
* Hard Drive: Disk DrivesMacNail requires a hard disk of any size. We recommend a 20 megabyte hard disk as an absolute minimum. 40 to 100 megabyte hard disks are not much more expensive, and the extra space will nearly always be worth the extra cost.

NOTE: If you are using Excel version 2.2 or greater, we strongly recommend that you have a minimum of two megabytes of RAM. See page 207.

* Hard Drive: Disk DrivesMacNail requires a hard disk of any size. We recommend a 40 megabyte hard disk as a minimum. Choose 60 megabytes or more if possible--large hard disks are not much more expensive than smaller ones.
* Mouse: Although MacNail can be run completely from the keyboard, you will find that a mouse makes all operations go much easier. It will let you take much better advantage of the friendlier 'graphic interface' that is provided by Windows and Excel.
* Microsoft Windows: MacNail requires that you have Microsoft Windows loaded onto your hard disk. Check your Excel manual to see which version of Windows is required.
* Microsoft Excel: MacNail also requires that you have a copy of Microsoft Excel loaded onto your hard disk.
