Finding Accounting Records

The computer can give you rapid access to information--one of its strongest features. Once you have typed information into the MacNail construction accounting software, you will be able to answer questions much quicker than is possible with a paper-based system.

The Query Box lets you have rapid access to information in MacNail Ledgers and Logbooks. The query box lets you type in criteria that are used to select some of the items in the Ledger or Logbook. For all items that match the criteria, you can find total costs, number of matching items, most recent item, and so on.

NOTE: If the Query Box does not display numbers for these items, choose *Query Formulas from the FORMULA menu (see page 166).
