Accounting Tutorial

This section will walk you through the sample accounting worksheets that are included with the MacNail construction accounting software.

Go through it step by step while you are right at the computer, with MacNail open on the screen.

If you have more detailed questions, refer to the index, or to the sections following the tutorial.

Starting Up

Before you begin, make sure you have loaded the MacNail construction accounting software correctly (see page 11). You should also check to make sure your Accounts folder is set up correctly (see page 12).

If the MacNail folder is not already open, open it with a double-click. Double-click on the MacNail Manager to start MacNail. Choose Accounting when you are asked where to begin.

Just after the Accounting Manager opens, it will add special accounting commands to the regular Excel menus along the menu bar at the top of the screen (you will notice a new McN menu at the far right). Once it appears you will be ready to begin.

NOTE: You can also open the Accounts folder and double-click directly on the Accounting Manager.
