Construction unit cost for septic tank leach fields.

Unit Size

One lineal foot.

Labor and Equipment Costs

We figure 9 1/2 lineal feet of trenching per hour for a backhoe and operator, plus 12 feet of grading and line installation per hour for an unskilled worker. The labor quantities also cover backfilling, but not finish grading or reseeding.

Material Costs

The installation price includes 4" perforated solid line with an 'average' number of connectors.

This price does not include gravel fill. If that is required, add about 1 ton of gravel per 50 feet of leach line, plus a little labor.

The price also does not include distribution boxes or lines from the septic tank to the leach field.
