Subcontractor Cost Items

In Goldenseal 4.1 and earlier, subcontractor Cost Items are handled the same as labor Cost Items. You type in a price, and can't update them from invoices.

Starting with Goldenseal estimating software version 4.2, you can use any calculation method for subcontractor costs. That is useful if you enter Subcontractor Cost records with an item breakdown, and fill in specific Cost Items (similar to the way Goldenseal updates material prices).

How to Use

To enter a subcontractor unit cost, follow these steps:

1. Choose Cost Items from the Costs menu.
2. Click the New button.
3. Enter Subcontractor into the Cost Area popup field.
4. Enter the desired calculation method in the Pricing Method popup field.
5. Enter other data about the subcontractor cost.
