Entering Dates

Feature

Starting with Goldenseal accounting software version 4.1, you can enter dates without any separators.

For example, typing 0105 will translate to 1/5 of the current year. Typing 122507 will translate to 12/25/2007.

How to Use

Just type the date without any separators.

NOTE-- In a few cases, Goldenseal will have trouble interpreting dates without separators. For example, if you type 12507, Goldenseal will enter the date as 1/25/07, but you may have wanted 12/5/07. For dates in November and December, either enter the date with separators (12/5/07 or 12-5-07) or enter the date with six digits (120507) so we don't have to guess on the separation between month and day.
