Estimate Cost Summary

PROBLEM

Version 3.9 of Goldenseal estimating software does not properly calculate the cost per unit for labor, materials and subcontractor costs, when you click the Cost Summary button.

Caught By

User bug report.

Workaround

None. It still shows the proper overall cost per unit, but skips the more specific costs per square foot or other units.

Solution

This problem is fixed in Goldenseal 4.0.

Technical Details

We broke this calculation in version 3.9, when we fiddled with the calculation of labor and material costs in each line item, so they'd properly pick up the labor and material modifiers. Unfortunately, that change also broke the Cost Summary calculation.

Now it works right.
