Flat Quantity Material Takeoffs

PROBLEM

If using custom construction Assemblies with a Flat Quantity component, the quantities in the Bill of Materials report and the Labor Hours report would too high. Goldenseal would improperly multiply the quantities instead of using the single-unit quantity.

Caught By

User bug report.

Workaround

None.

Solution

Material takeoffs and labor takeoffs work correctly for Flat Quantity components, starting with version 3.9 of the Goldenseal construction estimating software.

Technical Details

We don't include any Flat Quantity components in our stock construction Assemblies, but some users like to have them, to account for start up labor, minimum quantities, and other Assembly items that are constant, no matter what quantity you use.
