Payroll Taxes Per Day or Per Weekday

Starting with Goldenseal 3.6, you can add payroll taxes that are based on the number of days in a month, or the number of a particular weekday in a month (e.g. number of Mondays).

User feature request. Apparently there are taxes in Trinidad based on the number of Mondays in the month.

NOTE-- If you are going to tax any weekday, that sounds like the best choice!

How to Use

To create a payroll tax that is based on the number of days or weekdays in a month, follow these steps:

1. Choose Payroll Setup from the Costs menu, and choose Tax Items from the submenu.
2. Click the New button.
3. Enter Direct Dollars into the Calculation Method popup field.
4. Enter Per Day in Month or Per Monday in Month into the Based On popup field.
5. Enter other details about the tax.
6. Click OK.

To use the new tax, include it in a Tax Package, and then assign it to all employees to whom the tax applies.
