Improved Password Access

Starting with version 3.6, you can give users access to the accounts they need, without letting them have the same access to other types of accounts.

How to Use

In version 3.5 and earlier, the Passwords window has just one Account Setup slider which controls access to all accounts.

In version 3.6 and later, users access to some types of accounts is controlled by other sliders.

• Cash, Checking and other bank accounts-- uses the Financials slider
• Customer accounts-- uses the Sales slider
• Employee accounts-- uses the Payroll slider
• Material, Subcontractor, Other Cost accounts-- uses the Purchases slider
• Projects-- uses the Projects slider

Technical Details

Goldenseal 3.6 takes the greater of the Account Setup value and the special values listed above.

If you want to give an employee access to all accounts, slide the Account Setup control to the access level you want to give them.

If you want to give an employee access to just some accounts, slide the Financials, Payroll, Projects, Purchases or Sales slider to the level of access you want to give them, and then set the Account Setup control to a lower level.
