Category Field and Category System

PROBLEM

In a few cases Goldenseal would not use the correct Category System to fill categories into the Category and Subcategory fields.

This would happen with purchases made for inventory, and possibly in a few other cases. The problems are caused by subtle changes that were introduced about a year ago, when we started using the More Info windows for some fields.

WORKAROUND

If you leave a record and come back, Goldenseal will fill in the correct categories.

Solution

Goldenseal 3.6 fixes a couple of problems related to Category fields. The category fill-in has frequently been problematic, but we think we have finally tracked down the last of the glitches.
