No Decimals in Longest Length/Width

PROBLEM

In the Construction Starter File and other building estimating files, you can't enter decimals into the Longest Length and Widest Width fields (basic construction dimensions).

Caught By

User bug report in Goldenseal construction estimating software.

Workaround

Follow these steps to permanently fix the problem:

1. Choose Calculations from the Options menu, and choose Basic Dimensions from the submenu.
2. Scroll down, click on Longest Length, and click the Edit button.
3. Click on the Dimension Type popup field, and choose Number.
4. Click OK.
5. Scroll down, click on Widest Width, and click the Edit button.
6. Click on the Dimension Type popup field, and choose Number.
7. Click OK.

Solution

Starter files that come with Goldenseal 3.5 and later allow decimals in the two construction dimension fields.
