User Required Fields

PROBLEM

The user turns on the Allow User-Required Fields option in Interface Prefs, and then sets up required fields. When they view previous records that have some locked fields, they may get "trapped" where they have to enter a value into a required field but they can't.

Workaround

About all you can do is force a quit, then go back and turn off the required field.

Solution

Starting with Goldenseal 3.2, you won't be required to enter values into a required field if it is locked.
