Feature
Version 3.1 of the Goldenseal accounting software adds the option to view all problems, if a file
is damaged.
Suggested By
Turtle Creek testing.
How to Use
The Verify File command checks each record in your company file and makes sure it is correct.
To verify, follow these steps:
- Choose Security from the View menu, and choose Verify File from the submenu.
- Goldenseal will check each record and report any problems.
- Goldenseal usually reports only the first five errors, and then gives a total number of problems
when it is finished. If you'd like to see all errors, hold down the Control key while the
verify is running.
Technical Details
Goldenseal is able to fix some problems while it does the verify-- you can run it a second time
to see if they were automatically fixed.
If a record is damaged, the best
bet is to delete it. You may also contact Turtle Creek Software for help with the
damaged file. We can nearly always fix the problem.
