Outline Views (Under Development)

Can I compress the line items in an estimate, so I only see category totals?

One of our long-range interface ideas is to have outline buttons in tables that will show and hide the line items below them. They would make it possible to better organize the line items in an estimate breakdown, and they may also be useful for job cost views, reports and in other tables.

It will be complex to program and debug this one, so we aren't rushing into it!

HINT-- In the current versions you can see several different breakdowns of estimate line items. Choose Print Forms from the File menu to see them as business forms, or choose Estimates from the Reports menu to see them as a user report. In some reports you can use the Condense button in reports to show and hide the details for each category. Click the More Details checkbox to see it.
