How can I see my records in a compact form?

The best way to see a compact list of records is to use reports. For example, to see your checkbook in compact form, choose Banking from the Reports menu, and choose Checking Transactions from the submenu. When you double-click on any item in the report, you can see it in more detail and edit its contents. For more about using reports as a "register" view, click here.

Goldenseal currently does not offer any way to see several records at one time and also change them directly. Most records contain way too much information to show in a small space, particularly when they have breakdowns-- so our efforts to create a true register view have so far met with failure.

However if you still want to see a full register view in Goldenseal, please let us know and we will continue our efforts to let you display and edit records in a scrolling list of some kind.
