Client Setup |
|||||
| What kind of computers can I use as clients? You can use any Macintosh or Windows computer as a client. If you are connecting via a LAN (Local Area Network), the client will need an EtherNet card, and you'll need to be connected to an EtherNet router. If you are connecting via dial-up you'll need a modem and a phone connection. You can use any Macintosh that supports Open Transport (generally System 8 and newer). Any Windows computer with Windows 98, Win NT, Win 2000, Win ME, Win XP or Windows Vista will work as a client. HINT-- If you have both Macs and Windows machines and don't care which platform to use as a client, you'll probably find that Macs perform slightly faster, since they are better at handling screen graphics.
