Setting Currency Symbols

How do I set Goldenseal for a different currency?

Goldenseal uses the currency symbol that is set in your System. You can use the symbol for euros, pounds, yens, pesos or any other currency symbol.

NOTE-- If you use the Euro symbol or some other special symbol, you'll need to use a font that includes that character.

Setting Currency Symbol- Windows

If you haven't already set a currency symbol, follow these steps:

1. Click the Start button, and choose Control Panel.
2. Double-click on the Regional and Language Options icon.
3. Click the Currency tab.
4. Enter your currency symbol, the decimal symbol, and the grouping symbol for thousands.
5. Click OK.

NOTE-- If you change the currency setup while Goldenseal is running, you'll need to Exit from Goldenseal and reopen your company file, before Goldenseal will start using the new settings.

Setting Currency Symbol- Macintosh OS X

If you haven't already set a currency symbol, follow these steps:

1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
2. Click on the International icon.
3. Click the Customize button that is to the right of the Numbers example.
4. Type in the separators used for thousands and decimals.
5. Type in the currency symbol.
6. Enter the position of the currency symbol.
7. Click OK.

NOTE-- If you change the System Preferences while Goldenseal is running, you'll need to Quit from Goldenseal and reopen your company file, before Goldenseal will start using the new settings.

If you haven't already set a currency symbol, follow these steps:

1. Choose Control Panels from the Apple menu, and choose Numbers from the submenu.
2. Enter the separators for decimals and thousands.
3. Enter the currency symbol.
4. Enter the position of the currency symbol.
5. Click OK.

NOTE-- If you change the currency setup while Goldenseal is running, you'll need to Quit from Goldenseal and reopen your company file, before Goldenseal will start using the new settings.
