Opening Text Files With Mac OS X

I can't import text files with Goldenseal for Mac OS X-- they are grayed out!

Many users have reported problems importing payroll tax tables and other Goldenseal download files, after decompressing the files with Stuffit Expander for Mac OS X.

Stuffit Expander changes the file creator info so Goldenseal no longer recognizes the import files as text files. The files show in the file list when you attempt to import them into Goldenseal, but they are grayed out and not useable.

Until this problem is fixed in Stuffit Expander, we suggest that you use ZipIt to decompress payroll tax tables and other Goldenseal download files. It's available as a free download from www.maczipit.com. Zipit leaves the text files in the proper text file format so Goldenseal will not have problems opening them.
