Record Limits

How many records can I add to Goldenseal?

Goldenseal can hold up to 2,000,000,000 (two billion) records in any class. That means you can have 2 billion customers, 2 billion projects, 2 billion sales, etc.

NOTE-- If Goldenseal tells you that you can't add more records, then you are probably using the demo version, which has a 50 record limit.

We use Goldenseal daily with 20,000 to 30,000 sales, prospect and contact records, and still get very fast access to data. Because of Goldenseal's "binary tree" structure, search speeds do not go up very quickly even with large numbers of records.

There are a few smaller limits in Goldenseal:

You can add up to 999 custom fields.
You can have up to 12 different printed forms for any record class.
You can import up to 1,000,000 (one million) records of any class from another program into Goldenseal.
