Can I control access to Preferences settings?

Starting with version 2.9, Goldenseal lets you control access to the Preferences commands as a part of each password.

To set Preferences access, follow these steps:

1. Choose Passwords from the Options menu.
2. Double-click on a password.
3. Click on the slider next to Preferences, and slide it to the desired access level.
4. Click OK to save changes.

You can set the following levels of access to the Preferences commands:

 No Access-- The user will not be able to see or do anything with Preferences.

 View Access-- The user can see Preference settings but can't change them.

 Write Access-- The user can view and change Preferences.

 Full Access-- Same as Write access.

NOTE-- In Data Entry Preferences, the settings for the Audit Trail are controlled by the Audit Trail access level in the password. A user can change them only if they have full access to the Audit Trail. For security reasons, only give that level to the most trusted employees.
