Company File was not Closed Properly

I get a warning that my file was not closed properly, and Goldenseal asks if I'd like to verify the file. What should I do now?

Goldenseal warns you when you open a file that was not closed with the regular Quit or Exit command. That may happen if the program ends unexpectedly for any reason.

If you're in a hurry, click No. File damage is rare, and you can probably just use Goldenseal as normal.

If you click Yes, Goldenseal will check the file for damage. It is very rare that your records will be damaged by an unexpected quit, but if there are problems Goldenseal will find them and warn you. In many cases Goldenseal will also repair the record automatically.
