Installing from Goldenseal Download

I want to start using Goldenseal right away! How do I install it from a website download?

Here are instructions for downloading Goldenseal-- use the instructions for your computer type.

Macintosh Installation

To install the Mac version of Goldenseal, follow these steps:

1. Click this link to go our updates page.
2. Click the big green button.
3. Enter the account name and password that we sent in your shipment confirmation, then click Log In.
4. If you have a solid color apple at the upper left corner of your screen, download the Mac OS X version. If you have a multi-color apple, download the OS 9 version.
5. Your browser may decompress the download file automatically. If it doesn't, use a decompression program to unstuff the Goldenseal program.
6. You will end up with the Goldenseal program (tree icon) on your hard drive.
7. To start exploring Goldenseal, download the sample file, then double-click on it to open it.

1. If you want to download the Getting Started manual, click the link to download it.
2. If you want to download the Getting Started with Accounting manual, click the link to download it.
3. If you are ready to start entering data for your own company, click a link below for the type of company you have.

Windows Installation

To install the Windows version of Goldenseal, follow these steps:

1. First, click the link to get the demo version of Goldenseal. Download the demo installer, and run it.
2. Click this link to go our updates page.
3. Click the big green button.
4. Enter the account name and password that we sent in your shipment confirmation, then click Log In.
5. Download the zip file.
6. Your browser may decompress the download file automatically. If it doesn't, use Winzip to unstuff the Goldenseal program.
7. You will end up with the Goldenseal program (tree icon) on your hard drive.
8. To start exploring Goldenseal, click on the Start button, choose All Programs, choose Goldenseal, then choose Sample Company File.
