Goldenseal is time and materials billing software which tracks employee and equipment
time, material purchases and other expenses for "cost plus" billing.
To set up a project for T&M billing, follow these steps:
- Choose Projects from the Accounts menu.
- Click the New button.
- Enter details for the project.
- Click in the Billing Type popup field and choose Time & Materials.
- Hit the Enter key to save the project record.
To enter time and expenses for a time and materials project, follow these steps:
- Choose Labor Hours from the Costs menu.
- Click the New button.
- Enter an employee and the hours worked.
- Click in the Job field and enter the project.
- Hit the Enter key to save the record.
- You can also enter expenses in a similar way with Equipment Hours, Material Purchases, Subcontractor Costs
or Other Costs records.
To create a T&M bill, follow these steps:
- Choose Billing from the Bank menu, and choose Time and Materials from the submenu.
- Double-click on a project that is ready to bill now.
- Check the list of billable items, then click OK.
- Click the Create Bills button to create time and materials bills.
Goldenseal also handles other types
of project billing, cost estimates, change orders and general cost accounting.
Goldenseal costs $695 single-user, $895 for two users, $1195 for five users, and $1595 for up to 10 users.
