Goldenseal is remodeling cost software that gives fast, accurate cost estimates for remodelers. It includes over 2000 unit costs and assemblies for residential and light commercial remodeling. We developed the unit costs in our own remodeling business when we were Turtle Creek Construction. They cover the complete range of construction from foundations to framing to drywall and trim. The program includes "smart dimensions" which let you enter measurements for each room in the project, and get quantities for framing lumber, paint and other building components. You can also enter measurements on a "whole project" basis (an easier approach for large additions or complete gut/rehab projects). Goldenseal estimates are very accurate, thanks to the detailed unit cost database. The assemblies include all labor and materials needed for the work. Once you've finished an estimate, you can get a simple "time line" schedule for the estimate, plus bills of materials, a tool list and detailed labor reports. Goldenseal is an integrated program which also includes accounting, job costing, contract writing and project management.
