Goldenseal is project estimator software that gives fast, accurate cost estimates for construction contractors and others who work on large projects. It uses unit costs, assemblies and "smart dimensions" to make estimating easier. You can start with one of our Starter Files, which already include dimensions and unit costs for a specific type of work. You can also use unit costs from your own experience or from an estimating book. To save time, Goldenseal lets you set up estimating templates, which already include all of the details for your typical projects. When you start a new project estimate you can start with the closest template, and then fill in just those items that are different from the norm. Once you create a finished estimate, you can print proposals for your clients, and generate a bill of materials, contracts, and subcontracts. Goldenseal also uses the estimated costs in job cost reports, which will compare actual expenses against the original estimate. Goldenseal is an integrated program which also includes accounting, job costing, contract writing and project management.
