Goldenseal is paint estimating software which calculates labor and material costs for interior and exterior painting work, paint preparation and related chores.

The Goldenseal paint program works for painters and painting contractors. HINT-- there are also some painting costs in the general construction version of Goldenseal.

Follow these basic steps to create a paint estimate:

  1. Choose Estimates from the Income menu.
  2. Click on the template button (to the right of the New button) and choose a project type.
  3. Choose Estimate Dimensions from the Options menu, and choose the first set of dimensions from the submenu.
  4. Enter project measurements. HINT-- if a dimension doesn't apply to your project, you can just ignore it.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each set of painting dimensions.
  6. After you enter the last set of dimensions, choose Estimate Dimensions from the Options menu, and choose Specifications from the submenu.
  7. Click the Update Quantities button.
  8. Check the cost items in the list, and make any adjustments that are needed for this project.

Goldenseal is an integrated software program which also handles accounting, job costing, schedules, contract writing and general business management.
