Goldenseal is equipment tracking software for Macintosh or Windows. It tracks usage and expenses for each piece of equipment that you own.

You can use Goldenseal solely for equipment tracking, although it is an integrated accounting program which also handles invoicing, checkbooks, and many other small business management functions.

When you enter equipment hours, Goldenseal automatically adds them to your project or overhead job costing, and also includes the cost in time and materials billing.

Goldenseal tracks all of the following for each piece of equipment:

  • Original purchase date, source and price.
  • Depreciation and current value for income taxes.
  • Depreciation and current value for financial reports.
  • Equipment usage and the employee using the equipment.
  • Equipment hours or miles, and the project on which it is used.
  • Running expenses, repairs and other expenses.
