Goldenseal is construction cost estimator software that gives you fast, accurate cost estimates for residential and light commercial building projects. It comes with a library of over 2000 construction unit costs and assemblies which we developed when we were Turtle Creek Construction. You can add more unit costs, or change any of the items. The Goldenseal estimator software is designed for remodelers, custom home builders, general contractors, architects and others involved in the construction trades. Goldenseal includes "smart dimensions" which calculate quantities for you automatically, so you can get your bids out quickly and accurately. You can enter dimensions on a whole project basis for new construction or additions, and for each individual room when you are doing remodeling or repairs. Once you've create an estimate, you can also get a bill of materials, a simple project schedule that shows the start date for each task, and detailed spec sheets which you can include in contracts and subcontracts. Goldenseal is an integrated package which also includes job costing, general accounting and project billing. The integration makes Goldenseal much more useful-- for example, when you enter material purchases, it automatically updates the unit costs for your future estimates. You can use the most recent price, the most recent price from your "main" supplier, or an average over the time period of your choice. The basic version of Goldenseal includes all of the following for $395 (single user): The complete version costs $695 single-user, $895 for two users, $1195 for five users, and $1595 for up to 10 users.
