Goldenseal is building costs software for architects, home builders and remodelers. It gives fast, accurate estimating of costs for new construction, additions and remodeling work. Goldenseal includes over 2000 unit costs for residential and light commercial building projects. We developed the costs in our own construction company, and used them to create very accurate building cost estimates when we were bidding on our own building projects. Creating a cost estimate in Goldenseal is a simple four-step process:
Goldenseal includes starter files for general construction, framing, painting and drywall contractors. It tracks competitive bids, handles allowances and change orders, and helps you to manage your projects when you are ready to start work on a building. You can also use Goldenseal to track actual building costs-- including equipment and employee hours, materials, subcontractors and other costs. You can use the Job Costs command to see a quick "snapshot" of actual costs, or use one of the Project reports to see an "estimated vs actual" breakdown that will help you to see how accurate you estimate was. In fact the full version of Goldenseal is a complete accounting package which also includes building project billing, check writing, payroll and general business accounting. The basic version of the Goldenseal software includes all of the following for $395 (single user): The complete version costs $695 single-user, $895 for two users, $1195 for five users, and $1595 for up to 10 users.
