Goldenseal is building cost software that calculates construction costs for home builders, remodelers and home improvement contractors. It's an integrated package that includes construction estimating, job cost accounting, contract writing and project management. Goldenseal includes "smart dimensions" for building construction. You'll enter a few basic measurements (wall lengths, floor areas and ceiling heights), and Goldenseal will calculate more complex quantities like siding area and baseboard lengths. The program also includes over 2,000 unit costs for the complete range of residential and light commercial building costs. Most of them are in the form of Assemblies, which include the labor and materials you'll need for each type of work. When you enter material purchases, Goldenseal automatically updates your building cost database, so you know your cost estimates will be up to date. We were originally Turtle Creek Construction, and we developed the first versions of our software for our own construction business. Since then over 6000 builders and remodelers have purchased our software for estimating and managing their building projects. Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes job cost accounting, project management and general business management tools.
