New Button is Disabled

Problem

The New button is disabled, and New Record command is disabled in Goldenseal accounting software

Diagnosis

They are supposed to be disabled in the following cases:

1. Showing estimate dimensions (version 2.8 and earlier)
2. In Find mode
3. Showing registers
4. Password access is too low (read-only)

Solution

The solution depends on the cause:

1. Choose Estimate DImensions from the Options menu, and choose Specifications from the submenu.
2. Click the Find button, or choose Find All from the Edit menu
3. Click the Form Type button and go to Long Form
4. Sign on with a password that isn't read-only
