Salary Amount is Not Correct |
|||||
Problem The user put in an annual salary, but the weekly amount is not calculating the way they think it should be. Diagnosis What are the numbers? Usually the discrepancy happens because the user figured the annual salary at 52 times the weekly salary. In fact, there are a bit more than 52 weeks in a year since 365 is not evenly divisible by 7. So a $52,000 annual salary will not result in $1000 a week. Solution If they want an exact weekly salary, have them put a weekly amount into our payroll software, rather than an annual one.
