Contract Allowances

PRoblem

allowance price in MacNail contract writing software is not identical to price in BidMagic or MacNail Estimating

Diagnosis

in SpecWriter, choose Allowance Options from Options menu to see what's in under markup.
Also check how allowance is handled for that item-- labor & materials, or material only

Solution

It takes either labor & material or material hard cost price from the estimate, and adds on markup. So it may not match.
